The Golden Gate is made from high-quality 12-gauge material, and the doors are 2 inches thick with a steel threshold and bullet hinges. Additionally, pre-drilled tabs are welded onto the jamb to make installation easy. To create an energy efficient product, we use 5/8" tempered dual pane operable glass designs that have dual sealing to reduce heat and air leakage. Our frames also feature Polyurethane dual foam weather stripping to reduce hot and cold weather transfer. We include a door sweep at the bottom of the door to prevent infiltration of sound, light, drafts, insects, moisture, smoke, or fire and to help seal gaps.
